sound
checks... if i was going to make this concert, i knew i wanted to get there
for sound checks..
it's
another dimension of joy to see these guys go through the hoops of setting
up.. i asked joe on one of the songs mitch was toying with if it was on
the next recording, and he said i don't know, it's a work in progress and
he just started writing it a few days ago... guys..it's another
awesome one too......
sound
checks.. they take it to a level of unbelievable dedication to the
highest quality..
at
this venue it was a challenge as probably at all to get it as "good" as
time allows.. i knew it would be entertaining, and i was able to make it
for a "couple hours of their pre-concert prep...
cobra joe.. all 3 are my favorite.. and each gave me a few extra minutes of their soul on this night.. at one point during the sound prep.. the church music chimes started playing.. at first they thought.. ok.. its on the hour.. no big deal.. then when it went into the second chime song.. joe joked.. hey, mitch this "extra" music isn't going to be a problem is it..?? it was funny.. but in reality, i think they still had tons they wanted to do and those minutes.. were not relaxing waiting for it to get turned off.
one of the guitars mitch picked up was out of wack.. he has great concern.. but brad, just takes it as a every day thing and works out a quick fix for him.. brad was so calm and cool, and i know he was working every kink they could find out to give the concert unbelievable quality.... and the number of kinks.. kept coming to challenge him!
i
think brad was somehow being tested to the max.. but even though he looks
so concerned in this pic about it all..
in
the end it all flowed nicely.. and from the audience side of the concert,
the sounds were awesome!
